Edge of Glory is a track from Gaga's new album Born This Way.

During September 2010 Lady Gaga tweeted on her own twitter account “I’m on the edge of glory, and I’m counting on a moment of truth. I’m on the edge of glory, and I’m counting on a moment with you”. These are presumably a taste of the lyrics.

The song features Clarence from the E-Street band on saxophone near the end of the song.

Elton John is well known these days for attaching himself to anything that is popular, remember his live duets with Axl Rose or Eminem? Dusty Springfield Born This Way Lyrics

Well before Lady Gaga was running round singing about telephones, Dusty Springfield was running around singing about what she got up to with sons of preacher men.

Dusty was a very popular singer, almost as well known for her crazy life story as her songs and singing career.

Given Dusty's sexual orientation, a song that was a possible inspiration for Lady Gaga's Born This Way (excluding I Was Born This Way of course) was Dusty's own song titled Born This Way, from her album Reputation. The lyrics of the song can easily be interpreted as a consideration of one's sexual leanings.

While U2 once sang that nothing changes on New Year's day, we did get to ring in the year with a new picture of Lady Gaga's ass which she kindly twittered across the universe:

The immediately infamous buttock shot was used as a promo opportunity to announce the dates of Lady Gaga's new album, Born This Way. The date for the single Born This Way (lyrics) release is 13 February while the Born This Way album is due for release on the 23rd of the same month.

The nude behind picture was photographed by well known British fashion photographer, Mr Nick Knight, who has previously worked with the crazy pixie Björk and Antony Hegarty. Gaga is not known for being shy with her body, check out Gaga's infamous meat bikini or when she got her kit out at Lollapalooza - you know who else rocks a golden slave bikini?.
